February 21 2013

TORONTO – February 21, 2013 – Multiple Media Entertainment has acquired the Canadian distribution rights to the festival award-winning U.K. feature film, City of Dreamers. Recent awards for City of Dreamers include Winner of Best Feature Film, Madrid International Film Festival; Winner Best Actress, Milano Independent Film Festival; Winner Best Cinematography, Women’s Independent Film Festival; Winner Best Use of Music, Vegas Indie Film Fest.

City of Dreamers captivated me in the same way the film Once did,” says Jennifer Graham, SVP of Sales and Acquisitions at Multiple Media Entertainment. “The original soundtrack and the charming characters combine to make a really wonderful film.”

City of Dreamers tells the story of Rose, an aspiring musician who moves to Brighton, England keen to forget the world she has left behind and immerse herself in the vibrant and creative cultures of her new City. The friends she makes along the way, from homeless Joe to kooky housemates Kyle and Nicole,  all help her on her journey towards self-discovery, uncovering both the person she is and the one she wants to become. A romantic spark with Harry and a stolen kiss with Carlos spice up Rose’s dreamy journey. Featuring exquisite, heartfelt music from unsigned bands that feature heavily in the Brighton music scene, ‘City of Dreamers’ is the heartwarming tale of someone who chases their dreams of love, friendship and music, never knowing where they could lead.
